Website is displayed incorrectly, drops elements and text

Hi there,

We’ve just rolled out Xibo for testing and have run into some problems.

We’re using Xibo to display just a web page in a region which points to http://wangarattapac.com.au/screen1/

When viewed in Chrome on the Xibo player PC (Just a PC on a Stick plugged into a 60" 4k display) it displays perfectly, however when using Xibo to display it in a web region it randomly drops off text and banners and other elements. I have tried all the different display types (natively, manual, best fit) and none seem to make a difference.

The region is 1080p. It looks to me as though it’s running out of memory and dropping the frames/not loading properly.

Can anyone help?

How does it look like in IE? As Xibo will use IE to show it.

Could you confirm the CMS and player version for me please?

You can also press i on your keyboard to show player status window - if there are problems we’d expect to see logs about that there.

You can also open Windows Task Manager while Xibo is running to see if it consumes too much resources.

Hi Peter,

It appears to hang in IE on my computer as well. In Chrome, it works with no issues. Can I change which browser it uses?

I have thought about using embedded HTML instead of a web region, but that would require a lot of extra work on my behalf. I’ll start tinkering with that on my end and see if I can come up with something.

Thanks,
Alex

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to add the CMS version. I’m on 1.8.9 and the display is on 1.8.3
