Weather IO Security?

Hello,

To utilize weather IO, does a SSL have to be installed on the server ?

We currently use it without a SSL at least on version 1.7.3 of the CMS.

When I try and ad anything utilizing “Weather IO “ in the logs it states …

467 15-09-17 09:19:35 CMS Forecast\Forecast request Unable to reach Forecast API. No Host Found (HTTP Code 0). Curl Error = SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
466 15-09-17 09:19:34 CMS Forecast\Forecast request Unable to reach Forecast API. No Host Found (HTTP Code 0). Curl Error = SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Do you have STS or Force HTTPS enabled under settings in Network? What version of the CMS are you using?

What happens in the Layout Designer when you bring up Forecast IO and then go to Forecast tab and request forcast? Does it return anything?

got it …
followed …
Using Tickers, Forecast, Twitter and other external resources that make use of HTTPS connections https://community.xibo.org.uk/t/using-tickers-forecast-twitter-and-other-external-resources-that-make-use-of-https-connections/46

works great !

dont have STS for force STS enabled … was invalid file …

I was just going to ask you if you had seen that.

Glad you got it working.
