I’m trying to install Xibo on Ubuntu desktop. I used the docker install script from [get.docker.com](http://get.docker.com) to get the newest version. But I’m still getting an error message:

bf@signage:/opt/xibo/xibo-docker$ docker-compose up -d
ERROR: Version in “./docker-compose.yml” is unsupported. You might be seeing this error because you’re using the wrong Compose file version. Either specify a version of “2” (or “2.0”) and place your service definitions under the `services` key, or omit the `version` key and place your service definitions at the root of the file to use version 1.
For more on the Compose file format versions, see [https://docs.docker.com/compose/compose-file/](https://docs.docker.com/compose/compose-file/)

Perhaps have a look at Alex’s guide here - [Xibo 1.8.0 with Docker on Ubuntu 16.04](https://community.xibo.org.uk/t/xibo-1-8-0-with-docker-on-ubuntu-16-04/9392)

At a guess Docker Compose is in the wrong version, you should be able to fix that thanks to the Alex’s guide.

This was correct. Going from 1.8 to 1.13 fixed this. But I’m getting another issue now… will put that on another thread.

The guide was helpful - would be worth adding that to the Xibo website 🙂
