Upgrading Xibo-Docker 3.0.0-rc1 to 3.0.0-rc2

After upgrading Xibo for Docker v3.0.0-rc1 to 3.0.0-rc2 (on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS), the login page keeps showing “The CMS is temporarily off-line as an upgrade is in progress. Please check with your system administrator for updates or refresh your page in a few minutes.”, no login possible.

Not sure if this is a general bug in database migration or instance specific?

Hi there,

I’m sorry you’ve encountered this error, it is indeed bug in the migration itself, I’ve created an issue for it here - https://github.com/xibosignage/xibo/issues/2444

We should have an updated version of that file available later today.
Once that’s ready I will let you know what to do to pull it to your docker installation.

@jwandscheer and anyone else experiencing similar issues after upgrading docker to 3.0.0-rc2, we’ve fixed the problem now, to get the updated version of that migration file for docker installations please do the following:

run docker-compose down if the containers are up
Open the docker-compose.yml (or the cms_custom_ports.yml if you’re using that file to up your containers)
Find the line under cms-web that specifies the docker image that is used to pull cms files, it should look like this : image: xibosignage/xibo-cms:release-3.0.0-rc2
Change the image to release30 ie that line should be changed to:
image: xibosignage/xibo-cms:release30
run docker-compose pull
run docker-compose up -d
