# Updated to 4.5.1, lost data from last year

# Issue

I tried to update to the latest version. I followed all the steps in the guide [https://docs.xibosignage.com/upgrading-the-cms/upgrade-self-hosted-docker-install:](https://docs.xibosignage.com/upgrading-the-cms/upgrade-self-hosted-docker-install:)

- checked the date of the latest backup
- stopped docker
- backed up the shared folder
- downloaded and extracted the latest update
- ran docker compose up -d

and I discovered that all the changes stop at december last year.

I tried to bring back the old backup and the old version, but still it’s all blocked to that date.  
I suspect that I wasn’t really writing data on the shared folder… is there any other place I should look?
