Update Windows player on profile change?

Hi,

when I change the profile settings, the Windows player seems not to update by itself. I have to manually kill the player and at least wait for the watchdog to restart it. Even the download interval set to 1 min does not make a difference.

Also when changing some settings in a layout, the player does indeed reload the layout, but some changed settings will have no effect. Changing text or region are changed correctly, but changing the text-transition or duration does not. Therefore I have to make several changes in succession in the layout and hit save after each change. After several changes these transition/duration settings will be used, but not on the first try.

I use Xibo cloud, 1.8.4.

Ah, it seems that the player will use the transition/duration changes after the next passing.

I’d expect the changes to be applied once the layout reloads.

Unless you have ‘Expire modified layouts’ option enabled in display profile, then that will force the layout to reload after player receives the changes.
