Update 1.7.4 to 1.8.2

Hi,

I m updating my server from 1.7.4 to 1.8.2 with docker. I have followed, the documentation about that and everything seems ok. Great Doc and thanks !!

I just have a question, during the upgrade process I got an error on the step : 1.8.0-alpha3
Indexing on the Stat Table

SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1061 Duplicate key name ‘Type’

If I skip this step everything seems to work fine. Can you tell me more about the error ? Is the error can make me have some troubles later ?

It’s likely a bug in the upgrade. We generally suggest people upgrade to 1.7.9 first, and then to 1.8 as that’s the most tested route.

ok, thanks. For the upgrade D day, I will do :

1.7.4 -> 1.7.9 -> 1.8.2

I like when everything is ok with no warn :slight_smile:

Sounds like a good plan to me. I’m sure you will anyway, but please do take a backup of the system at the start, and at least a database backup after the upgrade to 1.7.9 :slight_smile:
