With Ubuntu making a push into Digital Signage it would be good if a Xibo client could be set-up on Ubuntu even if it is by User Guide only.

We do have plans for cross platform player, please see Cross Platform Player Specification
The old python client is no longer developed/supported, there are topics on this forums from people that still run it and installation instructions for it are still valid - but as I said it’s not supported and will not fully work with newest CMS versions.
