Ubuntu 18.04 - Docker repo or default Ubuntu repo?

Hi guys,
I have 2 instances of xibo 1.8.12 running in two Ubuntu 18.04 servers.
In the first one i followed Xibo Docker setup from Xibo website. (using docker repo)
In the second one, i just install the default Ubuntu repo (apt-get install docker docker-compose).
Xibo are working properly on both setups.

My question is…
what is the difference between them and which ones do you guys from Xibo team recommend for us to use in a production system.

We recommend the official Docker repo as that is kept up to date as Docker develops (which is very fast-paced). The Ubuntu repo is frozen months before the release comes out and then receives only security patches.
