I’m currently testing Xibo and I have troubles with a layout with two videos.
Sometimes it’s working, but sometimes the player only plays one video for 10 seconds then crash.
Is this because of the player or two videos in one layout is not supported ? Do I need a more powerful android box ?
I will test it with the new king of android box (CPU S912 / GPU Mali-820)
The player :
OS: Android 5.1 Lollilop
CPU: 64 Bits Amlogic S905 Quad-Core Cortex-A53@2.0GHz
GPU: Penta-Core Mali-450 à 600MHz
You can make sure that it can actually show both videos individually ie one at a time.
It could be good to also at least temporarily disable blacklist videos setting - Display settings page -> edit display profile assigned to your device -> troubleshooting -> Blacklist Videos?
You can also see if it will be any better with ‘Use a SurfaceView for Video Rendering?’ disabled - it highly depends on the hardware.
Perhaps also try to change the library location to external storage in Xibo for Android options.
If it will be able to play the videos one at a time, then it’s most likely the case that it can’t show multiple videos playing simultaneously which might be the case on a lot of android devices.
