Text Marquee Effect Jitter

Hello,

I am trying to use the marquee text effect in a layout, but there is a noticeable jitter and it looks bad.

I have tested this using a layout with only a background image and the scrolling text on a Minix New X8-H Plus player. The result is consistent with all scrolling speeds and font sizes. Is there any way for me to fix this?

What CMS and Xibo for Android are you using please?
What Android and firmware version do you have on your device?

1.7.7. + R60 would be recommended, you could try enabling 'Hardware Accelerate Web Content?'
Display settings -> edit display profile assigned to your device -> advanced tab.

I am running 1.7.4 + R59. I don’t have an option available to “Hardware Accelerate Web Content.” Was that added as part of a later release?

Yup, it was

1.7.7 + R60 would be needed in this case.

Also, especially when you upgrade to 1.7.7, it would be highly recommended to have fully qualified path to your CMS library in CMS settings.
