Hi, ime a new user and got everything setup and working on-prem. I have a display that has some layouts scheduled but want a specific user to be able to override this and then un-override it so it goes back to previous schedule. Think of this as butting and emergency slide up for 45 minutes.
What I really want is some type of button on their dashboard that puts up a particular layout of 45 mins then goes back to schedule.
Another thing that would be nice is a drop down with a number of layouts and None. If you select a layout it displays it on a certain screen, until you set it back to None.

Sorry, meant ‘Think of this as putting and emergency layout up on a screen for 45 minutes.’
When you or another user wants to control which layout or campaign appears on specific displays at specific times, the content must be scheduled.
Since you already have layouts scheduled, the best approach is to manage priorities when creating and modifying existing events. The event with the highest priority will always take precedence and be displayed.
For your setup, I recommend assigning a lower priority number to all regularly scheduled content. Then, when you schedule a temporary layout with a higher priority and a duration of 45 minutes, only that layout will be shown during that 45-minute window, unless another event exists with an even higher priority.
Finally, each display must have a default layout. This layout is shown whenever there is no scheduled content for that display and cannot be set to “none.” As a workaround, you can create a blank layout and name it “None,” which should achieve the result you’re looking for.
Thanks for this, probably should give a bit more context. Its a screen down the corridor from a school library. The default layout is for closed and there are scheduled layouts showing Open for morning break, lunchtime and after school.
We want a couple of other layouts that the librarian can easily activate. Exam in progress and Full. What would be perfect is have these as high priority schedules that can be activated/deactivated but cant work out how to do this. Preferably with some type of button widget.
