Schedule media in layout

Dear All,

Is it possible to schedule the media within a region inside the layout?

For example, one of the media within a region should be display between 2015/06/05 and 2015/06/15. After 2015/06/15, this media should be removed from this region.

Sometimes, we need to schedule a jpg within a region. We now use a server-side script to notify our teammate to remove the jpg manually.

Just an idea, copy the layout, schedule the new layout with new content to play at desired time.
