We are using Xibo for showing amongst others a web page. Our devices are connected to the internet through cellular networks, so bandwidth is important.
Earlier we have shown this web page through Xibo (mostly on Linux), and data usage wise this was fine. Now we have also started using it on Android players, and we notice the data usage is much higher. I suspect this has to do with the fact that we have shorter cycles, so this web page is reloaded much more frequently.
The data on this webpage is only refreshed every 15 mins, so it is not necessary to reload this every time it is shown. I know there is no caching on websites, but I was wondering if anyone would have a bright idea on how we can display this page every minute or so, but do this with an acceptable amount of data. Thanks for your help!
