Problem with Repeats

Hello. I created layout A and its display time is 15 minutes. I created layout B (display time is 10 sec) with a repeat rate of 15 minutes and a date from January 23 to February 9.
1 problem: Repeats were created before February 25
2 problem: Every 15 minutes, playback of layout A ends. And starts playing layout B with a very large number of repetitions in a row for 10 seconds. In this case, the number of consecutive repetitions is equal to the number of drawn @Recurring in the schedule.

Xibo Version 1.8.11
Xibo for Windows Player 10.8.10.0

The issue you’re describing sounds like the Events may not be scheduled correctly. Can you provide more information about and screenshots of the Events you have created for these 2 Displays, including the repeats tab for both?

You also said that problem 1 was that repeats were created before February 25, could you explain what was meant by this?

The version of the Xibo for Windows Player you have added to your post does not exist. At the time of posting this message, the Latest version of Xibo for Windows is 1.8.10-132. To confirm the version of Xibo for Windows that you are using, log into your CMS, select the Displays option and click on the button named Column visibility. Choose Version from the drop down that appears. this will then list the version of the Player that is being used for each of your Displays. Please confirm the version your Display is using.

Many Thanks.

Thanks for confirming the version you are using.

Can you also provide answers to my other questions, as well as details and/or screenshots of the Events you have created for your Layout A and Layout B?

Many Thanks.

Thank you for the screenshots of your schedule. The second Event you have set up to repeat every 15 minutes may not been configured correctly.

According to that second Event’s configuration, you have set it to Display from 27/1/19 @ 23:45 until 29/1/2019 @ 23:45, which is a total display time of 2 days. You have then asked it to repeat that 2 day period every 15 minutes.

Can you confirm what kind of Event setup you would like to achieve? For example, I can see that you want Layout A to appear Always but you would like Layout B to repeat every 15 minutes. How long would you like Layout B to show for every 15 minutes?

Many Thanks.

Thanks for the quick answers. I would like layout B to be displayed every 15 minutes from the 28th to the 29th day of the month, after layout A.
But the scheduler writes until the 31st of the month. And at the same time, model B plays without a break with 15 second rollers 40periods in a row, after model A loses its 10 minutes.

I think there may have been a slight misunderstanding regarding my question. I wanted to know how long you want the Layout to show for every 15 minutes. For example, you mentioned that Layout B is 10 seconds long. Do you want the Layout to show for 1 minute (6 times) every 15 minutes or for longer? You would not be able to set a smaller interval than 1 minute for the content to Display.

Assuming you wanted Layout B to display from 23rd January at 23:45, every 15 minutes, for 1 minute, until January 29th, you would want to set up a Layout like below:

As you will see in the above screenshots, the Start Time and End Time are set from 23:45 on 23rd until 23:46 of the same day. This makes the total length of time that the Layout will show for 1 minute. I then used the repeats tab to set that 1 minute time period to repeat every 15 minutes. The Until date on the Repeats tab is then used to tell the Event when to stop repeating.

Please also note that I have set the Priority of this Event to 1, to ensure that this Event has a higher Priority than the other Layout running always. This way, when the 15 minute interval arrives, this Layout with have priority for that 1 minute period that we set it to show for.

Many Thanks.

Thank you for the clarification. “Start Time” and “End Time” assigning dates to them confuses

It can take some getting used to but I hope my explanation has helped.

Just in case, I have also included a link to our Scheduling documentation for further information:
