# PowerBI connector and updated instructions

CMS Version 4.2.3

We had the dashboard connectors working in the past, but after a year or two of not using them, and a change in the Power BI development team, I’ve been tasked to make it work again.

I followed the steps here: [Power BI Authentication Setup | Xibo Digital Signage](https://account.xibosignage.com/docs/setup/xibo-dashboards-power-bi-authentication-setup) But Microsoft has changed their screen and setting so much, that I can no longer create a secret for use in another app. It’s the microsoft app or nothing.

Are there updated instructions for the connector and setting up a login for an Office 365 user?

I had our admin change a setting so that the user can add another type of authenticator, and I followed the instructions again. The logs give me:

getAvailableServices: e = Client error: `POST [https://api.dashboards.xibosignage.com/services/powerbi`](https://api.dashboards.xibosignage.com/services/powerbi%60) resulted in a `401 UNAUTHORIZED` response: {“message”:“Invalid credentials”}

I can log in to Office 365 and power BI with those credentials.
