Hello, how are you! I realized that when acting more than one layout, playback is done as follows:
Video 1 Layout 1, Video 1 Layout 2, Video 2 Layout 3.
Video 2 Layout 1, Video 2 Layout 2, Video 2 Layout 3.
Video 3 Layout 1, Video 3 Layout 2, Video 3 Layout 3.
Then when it finishes, it starts again …
Video 1 Layout 1, Video 1 Layout 2, Video 2 Layout 3. etc.
As you can see, it plays, the first video of each layout, then the second of each layout and so on. Am I right?
What I would like to know, is what determines what will be the first, second, or third layout?
Assuming that layouts are scheduled during overlapping times with the same priority (a) or in the same campaign (b) then the order will be specified via display order of events (a) or order of the layouts in the campaigns (b).
As for playback itself, assuming there are 3 layouts then it will be
Full layout 1, full layout 2, full layout 3, full layout 1, full layout 2 and so on.
I’d like to configure the layouts as follows: tell me if it’s possible:
Imagine that I have “2 GROUPS OF LAYOTS”
Group 1 contains 5 layouts.
Group 2 contains 2 layouts.
If I schedule these 2 groups for a player, or group of players, today it will display as follows:
Group 1 Layout 1. - Group 2 Layout 1.
Group 1 Layout 2. - Group 2 Layout 2.
Group 1 Layout 3.
Group 1 Layout 4.
Group 1 Layout 5.
In this way, layout 2 stops playing, until all the videos in layout 1 are played back. >>> And then restart …
Is there any way that layout 2 will continue to play the videos interleaved, along with layout 1.?
Thus:
Group 1 Layout 1. - Group 2 Layout 1.
Group 1 Layout 2. - Group 2 Layout 2.
Group 1 Layout 3. - Group 2 Layout 1.
Group 1 Layout 4. - Group 2 Layout 2.
Group 1 Layout 5. >>> And then it would restart. - Group 2 Layout 1.
Group 1 Layout 1.
…
Note:
I know if I use 2 Layouts, and within the first add 5 items on the timeline.
and in the second add 2 items.
And then schedule the two layouts, it will work the way I quoted.
But this way: “adding multiple items in the timeline” I do not want to do because xibo has a problem where, when a layout item is being updated, ALL LAYOUT is stopped.
Because of this I stopped adding multiple items in the timeline.
As often as the update is fast, if the internet connection drops while the update is in progress, the entire layout will be stopped until the connection returns.
