Permanently delete media from the library

Hi,
I am running Xibo 1.7.9. I have several image files on the library, these files are listed when I select RETIRED YES.
When I select DELETE, it will give me two option to choose from RETIRE THIS MEDIA or UNASSIGN FROM ALL LAYOUTS. Whichever I choose, the file is not getting deleted at all.

What is the correct way to delete the media permanently ?

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Unfortunately it’s bug in 1.7 series that sometimes occurs.

Since you can’t delete it from web ui, you’d need to delete it directly from the CMS library, assuming you have access to it.

1.8 series should be free of this issue.
