I have upgraded my xibo site to 1.8.12 and turned on the password reset feature. The issue is that when ever I try to use it, I get the message “User not found”. How can I troubleshoot this?
First check that you have the feature enabled for the type of user you’re trying to reset the password for - eg if you have it set so that super admins cannot reset their password, make sure it’s not a super admin that you’re trying to reset.
If that isn’t the issue, run the report fault wizard, and in an incognito tab try and reset a user password when it prompts you to recreate the issue, and then download the logs.
Review the log, and see what messages occur at the point you receive the “User not found” message. Specifically any errors, or information log messages relating to the reset.

Thanks. Looks like my smtp settings are a bit off as I’m seeing the error ‘Unable to send password reminder to username’s email’
