Licensing after server rebuild - copying client media files

Hi
We have had to have our Xibo server (DS Devices DSS1) rebuilt after a hard drive failure. I need some help please with 2 issues.
We have 16 client licenses, where do I input in the server settings the e-mail address of the license pool?

2nd - is there any way of copying the media off the clients to recreate the display layouts, as we do not have a backup of the media?

Thank you for your message. You can enter your License Pool email address into the Display Profile settings for your Displays. To access this you will need to:

  • Log into your CMS, ideally as a Super Admin user.
  • Select the Display Settings option.
  • Click the button at the end of the Profile you use with your Displays and choose Edit from the menu.
  • You should see under the General tab there is an option named Email Address. Enter the Pool address here and save to confirm.

Once you have done this, your Displays will pick up the email address the next time they contact your CMS and make a collection.

You may be able to find some media files on your Players stored in the Local Library for the Player but I cannot guarantee that there will be files there, as the Player will automatically delete files after a period of time.
