License for open source

Good day Everyone, l am using the open source version of Xibo. I downloaded Xibo to linux mint and using docker , I purchased one of the Xibo players and recently got it. I installed and configured it to display on a monitor and during the this week would connect it to a TV. While configurating it I saw the words trial license , my question is open source (Linux) needs a license , I read on the Xibo Linux does not need one, it say 10 days left for trial license. Can someone please advise me.

Thanks
Sean

Intresting to hear. Where did you purchase that Xibo Linux player ?

Hi, which Xibo Player have you purchased? Windows is our open source Player, with our Linux Player app under development.
All other Players (Android, webOS, Tizen and Chrome) are subject to licensing with a self hosted CMS: Licensing Commercial Xibo Players | Xibo Digital Signage

Hi Natahsa, I purchased the DSCS95 from Xibo, Xibo online account. Please advice. :folded_hands:

I purchased the DSCS95 from Xibo, Xibo online account. Please advice. :folded_hands:

The DSCS95 is a hardware device which has an unlicensed copy of Xibo pre-installed. As you are self hosting you will need to purchase an Android Perpetual licence as shown on the “Player Licences” section of the Pricing page here: Xibo Pricing | Cost Effective Digital Signage Solutions

You can follow the set/up guidance here in order to activate your licence once purchased.

Do let me know if you need further assistance with this.

Hi Natasha,

I am about to purchase the license, just to confirm before I make an error. I would need to purchase the Android Perpetual license, as I am self hosting, the price per license is 28.00 USD. I am correct, I await your confirmation before I purchase.

Thanks
Sean

Hi Sean,

Yes that is correct, you would need the Android perpetual licence.

Hi Natasha,

I thank you , purchase done and I have the license. Good stuff. I have inserted the license and authorized it. But I cannot get my content displayed. It worked yesterday, can you sent me docs for the procedure, thank,

Sean.
