Issue

Good afternoon Xibo Community!

At some point within the past 2 weeks, changes unbeknownst to me occurred, and now an e-mail that we used as a license is no longer what we have to use. Instead, we have a combination of numbers, letters and an @ symbol.

The box that we use to monitor our output appears to have taken on the new key by itself, overwriting the old one. However, some boxes on our network have not updated the key and have now been knocked off due to them still having the “e-mail” key applied on the player. Which is obviously now no longer out

Short of asking our locations to send the boxes back to HQ for me to do a full wipe, is there anything I can do to get the players to apply the new license remotely? I’ve asked staff to try to put the new key in themselves, but the field isn’t available to edit on the player.

Thanking you all in advance

Hi!

Same problem with my webOS players.

I use 4.3.0 and 4.3.1 cms. Players have v411. I am also not able to downgrade them to another version.

Thanks for your message. Nothing should have changed your player licence code from an email to a key - except perhaps if you migrated to a Plan?

If you have multiple licence pools then please open a ticket and we can help you to combine them all in to one pool.

In terms of updating the licence on your displays, please set the correct key or email address in the Display Settings Profile page of the CMS under the Android profile, and the displays will update to use that new code.
