We use Xibo in a school. Between the end of last school year (June) and today, it seems that the ability to choose a layout when creating a new event has gotten screwed up. Nothing has changed administratively, but when our staff try to add a new event by way of the Schedule tab, when they get to the box labeled “Layout/Campaign”, a drop-down list used to display showing the list of layouts that they had access to. However, when they click on that box now, nothing shows up. They can type in the box (which used to just be used to filter and find what they need), but nothing shows when they type and they cannot force a layout even if they know the exact name. This user DOES have access to the layouts, as they are the only user, and they created all of the layouts. Any help would be appreciated.
I assume these are user / group admin user types not super admin?
Could you confirm that super admin can see everything just fine?
Also which CMS version are you using please?
My guess would be this bug - https://github.com/xibosignage/xibo/issues/1607
ie you user does not have permissions to Campaign which prevents layouts/campaigns from loading on the add/edit event form, similarly without permissions to display group, the display/display group dropdown will not load the results on these forms.
Hi Perter,
Yes, these are not Super Admins, they are regular users. When I sign in as a Super Admin, I can see everything.
We are using the hosted CMS. I’m not sure of the version without looking, but I would assume that it is the most current since it’s hosted.
We are closed today, but I will compare our setup to your suggestion tomorrow and let you know the result. Thanks for the help!
It appears that the link that you provided helped. While I did not have to enable this before, once I added page access for “campaign” (I had it turned off, because we don’t use full campaigns), then the items populated the as desired.
