i have a problem with playing order of layouts.
I have around 10 scheduled layouts for a player.
These layouts has no priority which means they all are shown but what i would like to be able to do is,
how do i change the playback order of these layouts?
Example: In layout, you can click and drag media items in any order you want and my goal is to be able to do the same for layouts.
Is this possible?

You use the display order setting on the schedule to index them as you want.
We can’t provide a drag and drop to do that for you as the UI would give you unintended consequences.
So say you have on today 3 layouts, and you drag them so they’re:
L1 - Order 3
L2 - Order 2
L3 - Order 1
That’s all great, but now move to tomorrow where you have some other layout scheduled too, and now you drag those around, the layout ordering changes you make there will affect the previous day, and all the subsequent days, but you can’t see that in the drag and drop, so you’ll in effect undo the changes you made for today.
eg
Tomorrow
L1 - Order 2
L2 - Order 1
L3 - Order 4
L4 - Order 3
L5 - Order 5
now Today looks like:
L1 - Order 2
L2 - Order 1
L3 - Order 4
Which isn’t what you set there originally.

say i have 10 layouts and i have set the “Display order” as following,
Layout 1 display order 1
Layout 2 display order 2
Layout 3 display order 3
Layout 4 display order 4
Layout 5 display order 5
Layout 6 display order 6
Layout 7 display order 7
Layout 8 display order 8
Layout 9 display order 9
Layout 10 display order 10.
What happens when for example layout 3 is no longer valid?
do i have to manually change the display order of all scheduled layouts?
or will the system skip the layout which is no longer valid and jump to layout 4?

The CMS will just sort by display order, so gaps are fine.
L1 - Order 1
L2 - Order 100
L3 - Order 10000
Will play L1, L2, L3.
