# Issue

When installing Xibo CMS, some questions and issues came to show. Major and minor, that i cannot find answers to in the documention. This is two of them. 🙂

First, about the library folder.
When running the installer, one question is about the library folder.

The documentation states:\*
The first field asks for the **Library Location** that Xibo should store the media you upload. The release archive included a folder for this, `/library` or a different folder can be used. Enter that folder here e.g `/var/www/Xibo/library` .\*

My intention was to use that folder that was included in the release archive, but this was not possible since the folder was not empty. The folder contained a installation logfile, and even if i deleted it, it was created again before that check was made.
My solution to this was to create another folder and input the path here. After the installation finished, i could adjust this to the folder included in the release archive, since it did not seem to make a check if it was empty any more.

Second, about the keypair and encryption key.

The documentation states:
_The CMS requires a pub/private RSA keypair and an encryption key to be saved in the library folder._

_As you’re installing manually you’ll need to provide these yourself. You can override the generated keys paths and encryption key by providing an alternative in `settings-custom.php`._

My first issue here was where to find or create the “settings-custom.php”. The documentation does not say, but after some googling, i found two rows in /web/settings.php where this file was mentioned with an incorrect path, at least in my setup.

I corrected this to /custom/settings-custom.php and created the file there.

I then created a keypair and encryption key as stated in the docs, and saved them in the library folder (subfolder /certs).
Adjusted paths accordingly in settings-custom.php, which now looked like this:

_$apiKeyPaths = [
‘publicKeyPath’ =\> ‘/opt/xibo/library/certs/public.key’,
‘privateKeyPath’ =\> ‘/opt/xibo/library/certs/private.key’,
‘encryptionKey’ =\> ‘/opt/xibo/library/certs/encryption.key’
];_

I have no clue is this works or not at this time, but when i browse to the CMS, i get this message at the top:

Any thoughts on the matter? 🙂

Thanks in advance
