Images are being currupted after they have played

hello,

on 05/10/2017 a staff member asked me to use the xibo to display some maps, so i did and they ran fine, but after that date i have went to look at teh layout again as it can be used sometime next month for a event, and the images look like this:

as you can guess this will not play the images. i have check the media and that is currupted also, its not urgant as i keep all the xibo media in a seperate folder on the CMS so i can just reupload it, but its just annoying to have to keep doin this.

As i said it is fine before it plays, then it plays and then that happens

Is your CMS running on a Windows machine? If so, was it recently restarted?

If so, you’ll need to make sure you’re following the steps in Special Considerations here:
https://xibo.org.uk/manual-tempel/en/install_docker_win10_64bit.html#special_considerations

we don’t use docker we use xampp

The more information you can give in your question, the less back and forth with me trying to guess your environment there will be

Nothing in Xibo will automatically delete things.

Please check you haven’t configured a Player to use the same library directory as the CMS, as that can cause the symptoms you describe.

both the player and the CMS are pointing the users documents to a XIBO folder, we are running the CMS 1.7.7 and the same version for the player, they are running on a windows 10 machine that is logged in with a local administrator account, there is nothing special about the setup, it has not really changed since it was put in, it is used as a its there and only one user me has access and can add layouts and media.

if there is anything specific you would like to know just ask, but as I can see nothing is special not extra modules or anything

The CMS library and the Player library must be different directories. They cannot share.

If you put them in the same directory, the Player will delete files, and cause the corruption that you’re seeing.

sorry just re-read you message, I though it said that they had to be the same, I will change the player

That should resolve the issue for you  You’ll need to restore the files the Player has deleted from backups, or re-upload them.
