Is it normal that every time I publish a layout its id is auto increment, I have a text box that I modify every day and so I publish it every day. I have the last release 2.0.2

Yes it’s absolutely normal since the 2.0.0 upgrade. Since then every time you update your layout and publish it you create a new version of the layout, which in turns get a new ID.

Wait… what? Why does the layout ID change? Is there another static ID for a layout that can reliably be referenced over time? This just hit me today, as a few of the scripts I wrote to update layout content have broken
