How to transfer DSCS9 and license to a different CMS?

We purchased a single DSCS9 and perpetual license to evaluate Xibo for a client. The evaluation was successful and the client has now purchased several more players and licenses under their own name.

My CMS test environment has been mothballed. How can I “reset” the DSCS9 player so that it can be reassigned to the client’s CMS and can I transfer my license to them?

Sorry if this is a newbie question. We’re a general IT services firm with pretty deep experience with Windows but not much on Linux or digital signage.
