# How to install xibo cms self hosted

Hi Christopher, have you looked at the installation instructions [here](https://xibosignage.com/docs/setup/cms-installation-guides)? I can tell you that from my experience, though it may seem a bit daunting at first if you have little to no Docker knowledge/experience, that option really is the way to go. Xibo does suggest that you install on a Linux OS if possible. There is a community forum on installing with [Docker for Windows 10 64-bit](https://community.xibo.org.uk/t/xibo-for-docker-on-windows-10-64-bit/16298), but it’s no longer supported by Xibo.
