# HLS widget flow issue

Hi,
I’m using an HLS stream to stream the France 24 channel. The channel just changed its address, and since then, Xibo no longer displays the stream (black screen). The stream works from VLC, but Xibo doesn’t seem to support it. Do you have any information on this? I can share the link privately if needed.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.
After investigating the issue, we found that the stream provider has certain restrictions in place that can block playback depending on how the video is requested. In some cases, streams that work normally in a browser may be blocked when loaded through a widget. Specifically, requests made via JavaScript can sometimes be denied if they don’t meet the provider’s expected criteria, such as required headers.
This can result in the stream working in some environments but not others, even if the setup appears correct.
We’re still exploring options to see if there’s a reliable way to support this kind of stream consistently. We’ll keep this thread updated as we learn more.
