I am trying to make a ticker from a dataset for my Libraries weekly events. I try to add “This week Events” then add the column for the data that is pulled from the dataset. But all it does is repeat “This Week Events” before each column that was pulled from the dataset.
ex.
This Week Events
July 25 at 8am Storytime
This week Events
July 26 at 9 Computer class
I want “This week Events” to be displayed once at the top of the region and the columns data under it. How can I accomplish that in Xibo?
The items you enter on the Appearance tab in Ticker will be repeated for each item ticker takes from the dataSet - as you already spotted.
As presumably you want to show more than one item from the dataSet per page, you may consider a separate text region above the region with ticker that will contain the title This Week Events and in the ticker itself have just the data from dataSet.
The problem with doing it that way is that the region that this is being shown in also show pictures and videos. This isn’t the only media being shown in the region. So I can’t embed a region in a region.
