For screens where xmr (due to firewall, etc.) is not possible, no screenshot can be requested. There is also no screenshot after the next collection interval.

I’ve tested the Request Screenshot functionality on my setup, without using XMR and it seems to be working ok.

Can you confirm:

  • whether you are getting a tick or a cross in the Screen Shot column in the Displays menu of your CMS?
  • If there is anything showing in the Thumbnail column in the Displays menu of your CMS? for example a black box or timestamp or nothing at all.
  • Are there any other issues with communicating with the player? for example, changes to layouts, schedules.

If you can also let me know what your custom setup is, that may help to find the issue.

There does appear to be an issue with the screenshot functionality, when XMR is disabled or blocked. I have created a bug report for this issue, please see the link below:
