Issue
I’m currently evaluating Xibo with a view to it replacing our existing digital signage estate. We will be displaying a single layout across a number of displays which will display the real time bus arrivals at that location by calling an external data source.
I have created an HTML package and deployed it to a Windows based Xibo display and that worked.
I’d like to do the same with a Xibo Linux player and have been looking at the HTML embedded widget, but with no joy.
Is there anyway of downloading the external javascript files (and potentially python files) referred to in the HTML tags within the widget or via an alternate method?
Ideally we’d like to have a single display which we will be player agnostic that we can deploy across our sign estate displaying this content.
