Well me again. Now the client won’t download new content unless I restart and sometimes it is enough to save the layout with some changes. I just installed the client on three new machines, this wasn’t the problem on the first one but sadly I cleaned it before I realised this.
The changes do show in CMS layout but is not downloaded to the client.

What durations do you have on your layouts?
Do you have ‘Expire Modified Layouts’ enabled in Display settings -> edit display profile assigned to your device -> advanced tab.
Are you editing your default layout?
In most cases it’s not recommended.
We recommend the default layout to be something simple not often changed, just so player can display it when there are issues with scheduled layouts (or scheduled layouts are being downloaded etc)
I am editing ML layout, I did not change the default layout.

Ok I changed the schedule to 24 hours for all displays and then it seamed to happen, but that is like every time I change something it updates but does not do that unless I am changing and hitting save

You might want to check if your CMS is set to correct timezone (ie the same as your players).
The ML layout is set as a default layout for your players (first screenshot) so when you are editing it and player needs to download new content it will display splash screen.
I’m not sure what’s scheduled in this case? Also ML layout? Is so, that’s not necessary it will be displayed always when there is no other layout scheduled.
If it’s different layout, then perhaps you have some really long durations on your default layout?
I know there is a ‘default layout’ in CMS, by well, by default, but that doesn’t really matter, although I guess can be confusing sometimes.
So ideal situation would be
The default layout for your player to be something very simple not often changed.
All other more complex layouts scheduled to display.

The default layout is ML and it neads to update with the RSS every minute, It is default and is scheduled in case ??

It does not need to be scheduled when it’s also set as a default layout.
Interleave default settings will also add default layout to your scheduled event, which in this case is not needed as well.
So for rss feeds, you don’t actually make any changes yourself to the layout, right, so your player needs internet connection, not too long durations and adjusted update interval on the ticker item.[quote=“ellajona, post:6, topic:7232”]

Does this rss feed change every minute?
If it does, which seems unlikely, you will need to lower the update interval on ticker item considerably(it’s 120min by default) and also make sure all items on the layout do not have any really long durations.
Is there anything else in the region with rss feed item? If not you can add something there so it will refresh more frequently than only on layout reload.
Ok creating an other ticker with the same content made the difference
