Carriage returns in dataset column

Issue

I’m creating/updating a dataset via de API. One of the columns contains text wiith carriage returns (line-breaks). I would like those carriage returns rendered in the dataset ticker but it ignores them.

If I export the dataset to csv I can confirm that the carriage returns are still in there.

So how do I render the text column (also tried HTML column) with carriage returns?
