When I create a new layout it just keeps thinking without saving. Have closed and open again but does the same every time.
By ‘thinking about saving’ you mean the cog keep spinning when you press the save button?
That could mean some sql deadlock in your CMS, you could try to go through Report Fault Wizard and see if there will be any relevant logs about it.
