Can't install xibo cms

Hello, I’m new to Xibo,
Since many days I try to install Xibo cms on a windows 10 Pro 64 bit pc, here what i used:
XAMPP win 32 version 5.6.23
Xibo cms 1.7.8

I try different ways to install, with a new database or with an existing one that i create before on MySQL with a user for it.
With or without password for the user doesn’t matter, i always have the same problem.

If I try with a previous created database with a user without password, cms installation ask for a password but after I add a password to my user
I always get the same message: [SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user …, using password: Yes or No depending of my choice in the password field. Same message show when trying to create a new database at cms installation time.

Sorry for my English, it’s not my mother language.

Could you please carefully go through this http://xibo.org.uk/manual/en/install_environment_windows_xampp.html and then this http://xibo.org.uk/manual/en/install_cms.html

Perhaps you missed something in XAMPP configuration, privileges/permission etc.

Thank you! Even if i can’t tell what was wrong with my first x experimentation, not it’s work ok. I follow step by step your guides and install ok. I certainly mist something before.

Great, sometimes when we do thing too fast, we miss some small steps here or there and it can cause issues later on.

In any case I’m glad that you were able to successfully install it now.
