1GB limit is slightly on the small side, can this be extended at all through price plans or anything of the sort?

I assume you mean on Spring Signage Cloud Hosting?

If so the storage and monthly bandwidth are bundled with display slots ie to increase those limits you’d need to order more display slots.

Display slots are £1.20 each per month if i’m not mistaken?

Problem is we require around 10GB of data for the videos we desire to have circulating on our digital signage, but since each display slots grants only 500mb, we’d have to spend over £25 per month but we don’t need 20+ displays, we only need 3. Is there any additional price plan or do all of your clients just keep chaining display slots?

The bandwidth and storage are bundled with display slots, if you need 10G of storage, then presumably you will also need quite a bit of bandwidth to send those videos to the players, as such you will most likely need both limits to be higher ie in this case 20 slots for 10G storage 40G bandwidth

It does not matter how many actual physical devices you will use, since you will need to increase the bandwidth/storage limits then you will want to have more display slots as that will increase the limits for your CMS in our Cloud Hosting.

Thanks for your response.

We’ve already got two displays running, and neither has been connected to the internet since they received all their data. It’s only now we need to add some more videos that the data limit has become a problem.

If you understand what I’m saying, we don’t need 40GB of bandwidth because we’ll send the files across to each display only once.

Is there an alternative to this? I’m happy to put in an enquiry, just don’t want to waste your time if this isn’t something you provide.

Obviously 20 slots would be £24 per month, but we’d be using no bandwidth at all, and only need the actual library space!

Well, you would use quite a lot of bandwidth actually, for the displays to get your videos.

say you have 10G worth of videos and all 3 players need to download all of that then that’s 30G of bandwidth.

We can certainly consider some slightly adjusted options for you, but if I understand your case correctly ie that you will upload about 10G of videos to the CMS, then players need to download it from CMS and that will consume bandwidth. As such I’d expect that even only 3 players will consume quite a lot of bandwidth (perhaps not 40G per month though, depends if there will be rotation of the videos or not).
