Calendar not syncing

I am using the calendar widgets, which use an iCal link from google calendar. However when I make changes on the google calendar, it doesn’t show on my Xibo signage unless I manually clear the cache or update the iCal link, which sort of defeats the purpose of me using this signage program. I found another post about this issue, and the suggested solution was to go into modules and change how often the cache is cleared, but this doesn’t seem to make a difference, I still have to clear it manually for any changes to take effect.

Is there a way that these changes can happen automatically without me needing to manually go into Xibo CMS and force the sync to happen?

Hi, check what you have set for Cache settings for the Calendar Module by selecting Modules under the Administration section of the CMS menu and use the row menu for Calendar and click Configure.
From here enter a suitable cache period in minutes (default is currently a day).

Thank you! I did do this before making the post, and at the time it didn’t seem to be working. However it appears that it does! It doesn’t seem to update as often as I set the cache period too, but it still updates often enough for my purposes (updates within an hour instead of taking a day). Thank you!
