Issue
I’ve successfully got Xibo CMS (using Docker) and Xibo Player for Linux configured and the display is activated. However I get an error code 5004 (9/9 global dependencies missing)
Invoking the player using the --options tag and the pressing I shows me a few files, i.e. bundle and font files that it’s unable to download. The layout renders/previews correctly on the CMS system.
I have been experiencing the same issue, although not with the Snap package but the *.deb package. I tried manually downloading and placing the files into the corresponding folder, but it doesn’t it at all. Here my original post about the issue:
I haven’t tried the v407 yet, I encountered the issue on v405 and v406. I briefly tried the windows electron player too, but when it didn’t immediately work, I tested the .net client instead which worked. So I don’t know what went wrong on the windows electron player.
Thanks for pointing to the v407, I’ll try it out in comming days!
The electron based Windows and Linux player are undergoing heavy development at the moment and are not available on general release. They are beta quality and shouldn’t be used in production environments.
That being said, they should both download all files and start playback
