What if it were added the ability to use a campaign to “Default Layout”?
It is a relatively simple device and can significantly increase device usage variations.
The default layout should not contain “content”. The default layout is there to be shown when there is an error condition, or in the event that you update all content that is currently scheduled.
It should be something simple like a company logo in a region on a black background.
You should then schedule your content layouts/campaigns to the Player using the scheduler.
That’s why we don’t support using the default layout as it’s not designed to take content. It’s there as a last resort. If you use it for content then should that layout be updated the Player will have no option but to show the splash screen instead.
