About Editor and Scheduling

Hi guys,
is there any changes coming on Xibo content editor or scheduling features?

It would be great to have a simple workflow of adding and scheduling the content to the screens.
Here is what i have in mind:

  1. Button: “Add new playlist” or whatever you think is good as name.
    This button opens a new form where you have,
  • Name (name of the playlist)
  • Resolution (dropbox, to choose from).
  • Start date & time (calendar)
  • End date & time (calendar)
  • Button “Add media” (you have the media window according to the selected resolution in the same view). This button allows you to browse the media content and add (basic media content: Video, Image, PDF, Webpage). Inserted media is shown in the list and if there is a need of scheduling the individual media items, it can also be done during the upload/browse.
  • Button “Select screens” (browse the list of the screens and add required)
  • Button “Start” or “Run” or whatever name is good.

This is what i would call basic user workflow.
If i want to create more complex and advanced content, i could pick “Add layout” as we are currently doing.

I can describe this with pictures also if required. The goal is to have,

About 90% of the daily users does not have skills of creating complicated layouts, they just want to have the ability of adding basic content and let the advanced users do the advanced content for them such as creating menuboards, datasets, custom layouts etc.

Does it make sense?
