2.0.3 Media Library

Hi, I noticed an issue with the media library in 2.0.3. It took me a good 5-10 minutes to figure out how to add an image from the library to a region.

Select Widget, drag the image icon to the appropriate region, then select view library. The problem here is it did not remember what region I wanted to add the image to. I had to select the + button (all the way to the right, which seems like you should be able to just click anywhere on the row) and then click on region once again. This doesn’t work too well on small monitors like my laptop, as the new media library hides the regions.

Just some feedback. Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback, I will pass your comments to our development team.

There is a way of adding media items from your library without the need to first add the widget. Simply click on the magnifying glass on the bottom toolbar.

The Library Search window will open to allow you to highlight the file you wish to use and then you can click on the Region you wish to assign it to. The Library Search window can be resized, using the handle in the bottom right of the window, and moved to any area of the screen.

Do let us know any further feedback you may have on this functionality!

Many thanks

Ah that clarifies things. Also your latest blog post clarifies a lot (being able to move it!) I did not realize it.

It might be worth having some sort of on page tutorial of “What’s new”.
If the system can also remember where you drag the image widget prior to clicking on “view library” that would also be helpful.
Lastly, just being able to click anywhere on the image row (instead of the tiny blue + icon on the right) would improve user experience.
