You need to go to 1.7.9 first, and then go to 1.8.9, then 1.8.11.
In theory you can go from 1.7.9 or 1.7.10 to 1.8.11, but there’s a bug in 1.8.11 for upgrades from 1.7 series that prevents that from going through successfully.
In all cases, we strongly recommend being on 1.7.9 or 1.7.10 before upgrading to 1.8.
Dear Alex do the installation of XIBO as indicated in the manual, all right until the start of the session in XIBO since I can not access the system because I can not change the administrator password as samples in the tutorial.
It looks as if you’ve run that step previously in another failed upgrade attempt. The table doesn’t exist prior to the previous step so I don’t see any other viable explaination.
You need to restore the database export I sent over originally, upgrade that to 1.7.10. Then take a new backup, and upgrade to 1.8.9.
If at any point you have a failure, you must roll back to the last good backup (eg the exported one, or 1.7.10) before you try again, otherwise you’ll hit these issues.
I messaged you 2 file links. Copy of the xibo instance and database as it is on my server. I have tried on 2 different servers and upgrade says successful … then says " clikc here to continue" … click on it then says " configuration error" …
check log and it says “…fonts.css” couldnt be copied.
Please let me know what you can fiqure out. Don’t see a fonts.css in any folder right now (searched server).
